i love to watch movies. i don't call myself a cinephile, nor do i watch them as much as i'd like to, but i still enjoy watching a good movie. my favorite genre of movies is probably horror, especially comedy, slashers, vampires, and zombies. zombies are especially awesome, and i like a lot of zombie related things as a result! i also like screwball comedies, thrillers, and the occasional more artsy film.
some of my favorite horror movies are Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead II, Terrifier, Nosferatu (2024), The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Jennifer's Body, Alien, The Thing, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, and Re-Animator. i love slasher type horror, and i think out of all of these, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the best one. it just has such a nightmarish quality to it. i plan to watch more horror movies, both new ones that come out and old classics. some of my favorite non horror movies are Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Oppenheimer, The Batman, Airplane, Donnie Darko, Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Shaun of the Dead, No Country for Old Men, Mysterious Skin, and Zoolander. i'd like to buy dvds and watch them on a tv, but right now i can't. next semester when i have a single dorm, i'm gonna be able to have people over more, so i plan on starting a movie club!
