music is a big part of my life. from my favorite bands, to live music, to learning to play the guitar, music is one of the major parts of my personal life.
i like to listen to a lot of music, but my favorite genres are metal (thrash, death, black, crossover, doom, sludge) , punk (especially hardcore/emotional, but i have a soft spot for pop), goth, and alternative rock/grunge! I like to listen to new genres of music as well, and i like seeing local bands the best. some of my favorite bands are Dead Kennedys, T.S.O.L, Bauhaus, Salem, The Cure, Mortician, London After Midnight, Type O Negative, Reagan Youth, HIM, Sisters of Mercy, Alice in Chains, Acid Bath, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more.
one of my favorite things to do is to see local bands, whether they are punk, metal, or rock i especially like to mosh. i prefer to slam, but i've been trying to branch out and get more into things such as two-stepping, although i feel like i look very stupid when i do so. i'm part of my universities metal club, and i try to go to shows with them, although it's hard with my schedule. live shows are honestly one of my happy places, with the energy, friends, and noise.
